Find a Curriculum You’ll Use and Love! A Few Things to Remember . . .
Even after fifteen+ years of homeschooling, my palms still get a little sweaty when I order curriculum. The “place order” button makes me a bit anxious. Finding the right homeschool curriculum sometimes requires a lot of effort. A few things to remember as you consider curriculum reviews:
- I offer lots of help in this post: The Right Homeschool Curriculum: Valuable, Suitable, Reputable.
- There’s a learning curve with all curriculum. It takes a while to figure out exactly how a curriculum works.
- It takes some trial and error to determine if a curriculum fits your student’s learning style and your teaching style.
- What works well for one child may not work well for a sibling. (I have to remind myself of this!)
- There are people who live and breathe curriculum. Okay, not really (but sort of)! Consider this team of Rainbow Resource consultants. They have various areas of expertise and are happy to answer your questions. I’ve called them a few times myself. The consultations were super helpful (and free)!
- I give honest reviews for the curricula I’ve used – I hope you find these helpful!
