Disclosure Policy

The purpose of this website (“Site”), aseasonofhomeschooling.com, is to offer encouragement for those desiring to point their children to Christ while homeschooling.  I hope to support your endeavor by sharing what I have learned on this path.

My Participation in Affiliate Programs

While it does not cost you to use this Site, there are costs that I incur in order to provide you with the information on this Site.  Besides the financial costs I incur, I also have significant costs of time.  To help keep this Site up and running, I participate in affiliate (also called referral) programs.  These programs compensate me for referring traffic and business to them.  The FTC requires disclosures regarding my participation in affiliate programs, and my use of affiliate links.

Notifications are provided on this Site when affiliate links are being used.  This informs you of the agreements I have with companies that pay me a commission for purchases you make while using the affiliate links.

When you click on an affiliate link to consider a curriculum or other product I have recommended, I might earn a small commission.  There is no extra cost for you!  I sincerely hope that the information I offer on this Site is of benefit to you. I hope you find just what you need as you consider options.

Promoting What Is Best for My Readers

I prayerfully consider the information I provide: what topics to cover, what resources to suggest, and what products to link.  As I do so, I always consider what is best for my readers.  Maintaining integrity is immensely important to me.

On this Site, I may also accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, or other forms of compensation.  I will only advertise or promote products that I have personally used, or that I firmly believe can be of benefit to my readers.  The majority of what I promote are products or services I have purchased and used during more than ten years of homeschooling and twenty years of parenting.  I appreciate the weight of the decisions that my readers might be making, and I take that seriously.

There are FTC Guidelines for online influencers such as myself. I strive to abide by these.  I believe in honest communication regarding relationships, opinions, and identity.  The compensation I receive from marketers may influence my content.  Even though I may receive compensation for my posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products.  I write and edit all the information on this Site.  Any claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

If ever you have a concern regarding this Site, please reach out to me.  I know there will be individuals who don’t agree with everything I share or recommend, and that’s okay.  I welcome your kind inquiries and constructive criticism.
